I often hear about people not counting fruits and vegetables into their daily intake and then complaining about not losing weight. It’s important to remember that just because a food is healthy, does not mean it doesn’t have calories. Fruits, vegetables, nuts, meat, beans and other clean, healthy foods still contain calories. Remember, calories are units of ENERGY. They give our body FUEL to function properly. Our internal organs even use them to function. So it is crucial to ingest them…. however if you are counting calories, these foods should all still be counted. =)
